Found this brownish cylinder plastic piece on the floorboard beneath my gas pedal. 1998 Civic. It was broken in half. No clue what it goes to. I’ve similarly found the clutch switch stopper broken on the floorboard, but this is something different entirely.

Coincidentally the day I found it the car wouldn’t start. No crank. I’ve bypassed the clutch switch so don’t think it’s that. Or maybe the no start and this piece are just unrelated?

But what is this plastic piece?
