Default 1994 Honda Civic will not crank or start unless I push start it with a button.

So i’ve recently bought this EG coupe with 60k miles. But then all of a sudden it doesn’t start or crank unless I push start it. The ignition switch is still there but I get no click or crank , I here the fuel pump engage and I get power to the dash. I have changed the battery and starter. I believe the clutch safety switch is cut as well. This started after I had to reinstall turn signals since the previous owner cut them, and the push start wires that were on the car when I got it because it was rotten. Can anyone help me out ? I’ve tried just about everything on existing forums.

Since you no longer have a factory wired starting system... you stated that you have a push start button... it will be difficult for members here to assist you. You mentioned a "neutral safety switch"... is/was this car originally equipped with an automatic transmission ? Has it been converted to a manual transmission ? If so, does it use a clutch switch ?

go to the salvage yard and get a replacement ignition wire harness. Ditch that push-start button because they can be more of a nuisance than convenience.
