Default Should the tranny fluid drain out the passenger side axel hole if it is removed?

I just did my second h22a swap into my accord, and I was getting the engine ready to start up, which hasn't happened yet, but that's another suck *** long story. But I was pouring the tranny fluid into the tranny yesterday and I didn't have the axels installed back in yet, well as I was pouring the fluid in, it came flowing out of the passenger side axel hole, this didn't seem right to me, but this is the first time that I've had to fill tranny fluid is this normal when the axel isn't hooked up, or do I have a huge problem on my hand.

We were too lazy to drain the Kaaz gear oil out of the tranny when we were taking the engine out, funny thing is, it's so thick barely any came out

Sorry for this newbie question, but how often are you suppose to change your tranny fluid?

Because I haven't done that in ages.

I think every 10,000 miles is the spec, I just do it every oil change. It's not hard to do at all and it's cheap-**** insurance.

Then there's not enough oil.
