Tranny leak...
Went to the tracks and did not completely shift into 2nd. Grinded the hell out of it. After when I got to a friends house, smelled something burning. He said it smelled like transmission fluid, and sure enough there was a wet spot under my car. The leak looked like it was behind the head, near the motor mount by the bottom.
Anyways, is this a serious problem? Or can I wait a few weeks before getting it fixed? Or do you think it'd be cheaper just to get like a EX tranny? (I have a LX ) Thx.

It might be the seal where the axles go into the tranny. A bitch to change but not that expensive. Make sure the tranny always has enough fluid if your going to keep driving it. Get it fixed soon though.

must have been hard trying to smell "tranny fluid" on a car that uses engine oil in the tranny. Sounds like the breather box on the back is leaking a little.

Anything to worry about? Or can I put off getting it fix for a week or two. Or a month or two
