the EJ8 guy again: Putting in tranny fluid
ok... there are things i know and things i don't know about putting tranny fluid in....
back in the day i had a 91 CRX si, on which the tranny seized up on me so me and my buddies had to swap it out.... however, we found a 80-something 4 speed tranny that we threw on in a pinch for time... we had to *** the whole car to the side and put the tranny fluid in through a bolt hole in the tranny... it waqs annoying because we never new when it was full as we used a turkey baster due to our lack of funnel tools
then there is the 92 and up trannys that just have a dip stick for the tranny fluid level of which you can just apply fluid with ease... but my tranny dose not have the port... damn
and now the fluid question: there are three types of civic trannys from ef to eg to ej/ek... and so far i know of gear oil, standard 10w30 that can be used, and iv just been informed for mine there is some special fluid that i have to use for 98 and up.... i just went and got 4 quarts of it....
GOTDAMNIT... i just looked at it right now and this foo gave me tranny fluid for an "Automatic" WTF!.... well after i go and take it back, i need to know how to put it in "the easy way" if there is one... and if i really need to use "***** wonka's special blent of tranny spices" fluid
