Bought my first civic, 99 ex coupe manual need help
Couldn’t find a d16y18 TB all the ones I bought were not for my car, only one I found was skunk 2 alpha series 66mm I put on my stock IM car idled at 2k anything under 80mph it lagged, anything above 80mph the car loved, car threw a code for the tps but wasn’t a big deal, couldn’t find a adapter or spacer to help the new TB and stock IM breathe correctly so I made my own and ported what holes needed to be, holes are a lil off but they go to the correct spots, I’ve touched and replaced anything that deals with idle, I start the car it jumped to 4k rpms for about 4 secs then down to 2k-2.5k rpms and bounces like a camed v8
sorry if post is long but I’ve replaced all this in 4 days, iac valve, ect sensor and sending unit, sealed vacuum leak around adapter I made since it was uneven, new cold air intake w iat sensor mount, new tps w voltage reading of 0.4-0.5 closed, 4.6-4.7 wide open, cleaned iac and TB, adjusted throttle screw and throttle valve screw, I feel like the throttle screw doesn’t do anything it’s the same thing every movement clockwise and counter clockwise, no vacuum leaks, cold air intake sounds like it’s sucking a whole lot of air, when you plug and unplug the iac, car is basically all stock besides throttle body and coilovers, stock ecu p2p a12 6d only code that’s on is the p1508 iac circuit, I chased the wire and didn’t find any shorts or openings, the connector is a lil dirty, I will be heading to the junkyard to get some more connectors after a month of having the car it’s been falling apart I’ve spent more money on parts and tools to keep it running than the amount I paid for the car, and right now with its idle surge bouncing it sits in the drive way I lost my job cause of how many time it broke down on the way to work
