I started my car in gear but had the clutch down, it jerked the car forward. Meaning I didn’t have the clutch all the way down..? Anyways it started and wouldn’t let me out of 1st, so I turned the car back off and took the shifter out of first, turned the car back on and it wouldn’t let me in any gear until letting the car sit in idle for about 5 minutes, then It shifted like nothing happened. The car now doesn’t let me go into gear when I start the car up until about 5 minutes in idle.

 

you have a leaking master cylinder or a slave cylinder. put some fluid in the reservoir and you MIGHT be able to temp drive it while you order a new part on ebay. keep some brake fluid in your vehicle until the problem is fixed.
