Hello Honda tech family!

I have not posted since I became a member in 2011, seems like HT has been around forever and I occasionally poke around to get ideas and browse the marketplace. I joined in 2011, that’s when I bought my first Honda, a 1997 civic CX hatch, from a dealer here in Ohio. The car was originally an automatic with 120,000 miles. Clean as a pin with no exterior rust. I became a Honda fan through and through. Since then I have bought and sold plenty of civics, yet I always held on to the hatch.

Within the first year of ownership I 5 speed swapped the car while going to automotive school in mid Ohio. I drove the car for another year and the transmission with unknown mileage gave out. My initial plan was to get another transmission and turbo the singe cam. Well I bought the kit and lots of extras and never got around to it. Work got in the way and I graduated college and got married. So the car sat with no engine or trans in it for about 10 years. In that time I started a family and bought and sold a house and bought my second house with a garage! Finally a place to work on this car. With the car in storage time really flies when you don’t see it everyday. Well now since I have a house with a garage I decided to bring her home. So that was 2019 and i have been working on it on and off for the past couple years. I have decided to make this post because I have been consistently putting in time and feel more motivated that ever. I’m calling this the 10 year build, although it’s taken a lot longer than that just to get started. Just another reason to never let up on you’re dreams. You’re time will come.
