Icon5 2006 CRV Have a random clunk

Ive got a random clunk that i cannot pinpoint to any certain condition. Ive heard it clunk even when the road is smooth, it isnt during acceleration or deceleration, its just random. So i thought it may be the CV axle, got under to check the boots, i twisted it to check for play, and pushed/pulled in/out, and all seem well, and it happens when going straight, and from what i know CV joints have more of a tendency to click and clunk when turning... So i turn to the engine mounts. The front and transmission mounts were recently replaced, but i checked them all for any loose bolts. I checked the sway bar mounts and end-links and all seem tight as well. The clunk sounds similar to lower control arm bushings, but both sides were recently replaced also. Ive checked the shock spring to ensure it is seated properly, and it is... Anyone have any tips or suggestions?? Ive pondered the idea of the front differential and the transfer case, i dont know where else to look.

The clunk may seem random, but if there's a clunk, there's some sort of physical input causing 2 things to separate and then reunite in the most annoying of ways. I had a clunk in the rear of my lifted WJ that I couldn't sort out. I had my girlfriend stand on one of the rear tires, brace herself on the roof rack, and rock the whole vehicle left-to-right while I laid under it. Turned out one of the sway bar link bushings had rounded out and I could actually see the link move up and down in relation to the bolt that went through it. Have someone give the vehicle some left-to-right and front-to-back disruptions while you lay under it (don't do this while it's on jack stands!!).

Other thought...ball joints can clunk when worn, and so can tie rods. Jack up the front wheels and give them the 'ol 3-and-9 and 12-and-6 shake-down.

I would also check the sway bar bushings. I’ve had this issue on my 2004 Element and both times it was the bushings.
