Default 2000 Accord Not getting spark

I recently installed a new cylinder head (previous one locked up and snapped timing belt) I installed a new timing belt and tripple checked the timing!!! However the car will not start, everything is connected and i know the distributor works, it worked before and i rebuilt the entire thing after the belt snapped (so it literally hasn't been used since i rebuilt it) but as i said no spark and i checked for spark at the coil itself and not a thing. I know I accidentally smashed a knock sensor on the process could that maybe be the cause? I also read that I might need to relearn the crank position sensor, I just want some second opinion before i make a decision

Start with the easiest, make sure it is properly grounded. Or if the car been down for a whoile often the engine to body grounds get corroded. Also there are grounds on the valve cover itself, make sure those are sorted then see if you get spark

it's not uncommon for the crank sensor to get damaged when the timing belt breaks.

I'm not a fan of throwing parts at something, but if it's not expensive it may be worth a shot.

Unless someone has a digital version they can share of the crank sensor test procedure, i'll try to remember to paraphrase later today when I have access to my FSM.

Could you explain where the grounds are on the valve cover? cause I do not remember putting any on or taking any off and I'd just like to make sure I didn't miss something, I know there is one from the chasis to the engine mount on the right side of the car, but I did not see any on the valve cover

I am having the same problem kind of. the kid hit a huge puddle (doing 70kph probably) and would not start for him so after drying out the air filter and the following 5 months before winter the car was pretty much hit and miss for starting after that, the car sat all winter so I installed a new battery and it fired right up so i let it warm up a bit and shut it off . now its got 0 spark all the time. (threw new distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires distributor o rings, valve cover gasket set and o rings, power steering pump o rings. it leaked a bit lol) and still 0 spark. so now I removed the old command starter but have a blu/lt blu with a silver dot just hanging out now. it goes to the rear of the car through the drivers sill plate harness. i have ripped 3 accords appart at my local wrecker looking for where the wire goes under the dash but that wire does not exist on any other car i have tore apart searching. anybody have a hint for me ? i am at a loss at this point. oh and still 0 spark. fml
