Default 2009 Accord J35 Engine help!!

Hey guys been a while since I’ve been on this forum, by need your help, I bought and 2009 Accord to fix up the timing belt broke, previous owner took it to a mechanic and took part the covers etc , I bought new timing belt kit installed it all correctly, fire it up it cracks but doesn’t start, I notice that here’s something missing , at the timing belt sprocket is there a sensor that should be there? See picture below, I don’t know if it’s a crank sensor missing? I looked and can’t see where it plugs into either, but a part number would be great for this sensor as I cannot find it. Hope you guys can help me out so I can fix the vehicle ASAP, thank you

Are you sure you don't have any valve damage?

The crank sensor is not there anymore, It was moved to the rear of the engine.

You probably have bent valves.....

So 2009 the crank sensor in the v6 was moved to the back 100%?

how come I’m not getting any spark?
also can you let me know where this crank sensor is located ?

It cranks nicely and my compression is good in all cylinders, I’ve had 2 Honda’s where my timing belt went and just changed belt and both motors were still good do I have faith that this one is still good, once I can get it to start I will know if I have bent valves or not

it has spark looks like my rear cam is off a little bit will realign tomorrow and see

Good luck with that; personally I'm betting you have bent valves.

In your first pic, your crank gear is two teeth retarded from TDC. So, if this pic was taken while you THOUGHT you were placing the crank gear and both cam gears at TDC, you will need to reset the mechanical timing because it would be off.

Motor swap not necessary, just have the heads reconditioned or buy new heads.

i know how to set the timing, I took picture after trying to start it, either way it ran for few seconds then died
seems bent valves cannot turn the rear cam more then 180 degrees , ordered new used motor instead

Why not just a set of used or reconditioned heads? That would be a heck of a lot cheaper and less work.

never took apart a motor, plus $1200 for a motor with 21,000kms is a good deal, I’ll be selling the car anyways

ivd swapped plenty of motors and transmission I don’t mind
