Default 650hp Turbo J32A2 - GTX4202R or GT3582R?

Which turbo would you go with?
The GTX4202R is rated for 525-1120hp and I'm looking to make about 650hp. The GT3582R is rated for 400-675hp. I want to spool as fast as possible and tune for lower to mid range torque.
With the GTX4204R I'm thinking room to grow so I can make 650-750-1000hp plus it wouldn't choke the motor out at higher rpm. At 650hp I'll be using about 58% of the turbo but would it spool fast enough and make good low end power?
With the GT3582R I'm thinking I will spool real fast and have a more streetable turbo but won't have room to grow or have a very high cfm flow at or near redline. At 650hp I'd be using about 96% of the turbo.

That's 675hp at the crank on the 3582.

Why just those 2 turbos? Are you buying new or used? G35-1050 will fill both roles.

I'm considering the GTX4202R & the GT3582R now also the GTX4088R which is rated for 640-850hp. Which of the 3 would you guys go with?

Are you trying to get 650 wheel horsepower or 650 flywheel horsepower?

Anyone care to dig up that old Tony TL build? I think it was something like $20k to get to a reliable 600hp at the wheel.

On that TL thread Tony said that there is no room to put the GT42 turbo.

Keep it smaller. I'd even do a GTX3576R for that power level on that TL

He was out of compressor on a 35 at 600whp.

I doubt this thread is going anywhere.

I'm shooting for 650 flywheel hp. I think I'm going to go with the GTX4088R its a little smaller than the GTX4202R and is rated for 460-850hp. @ 650 flywheel hp I'd be using about 77% of the turbo. This still gives room to grow if I wanna make more power later on down the road, say bump it up to 800-850hp.
I'm thinking the GTX4088R will provide the low end torque I want and spool quickly, I want a grunting street machine, I'm also thinking it wont choke out the motor at higher rpm, say around 6,800-7,500 and will likely make peak hp near 7,000 so I should be good.
I'm thinking the GTX4202R would probably be a bit too big, likely wouldn't spool to quick or be very responsive below say 4,000rpm and would just block exhaust flow until it spooled plus it costs quite a bit more than the GTX4088R.
I know the GT3582R is likely way too small now that I think about it, I'd be using most of the turbo to make the 650hp and it would probably have no top end.

Since he’s going for 650 flywheel horsepower I think the GTX35 is good also. The GTX42 should be ruled out for being too large in the engine bay and also is too big for it to have decent spool time. The GTX40 is big also and I think 650hp is achievable with the GTX35 and will be more responsive.

GTX3582R or even the GTX3576R like the Shodan recommended would be my choice for 650 flywheel hp. Going over that is an insane amount of HP. I don’t see any point in over that goal. You’ll need a transmission to hold all of that power and you’ll just be spinning the wheels with anything over 650HP. Since you want it for the street with good spool even 650HP is a lot. Even at the drag strip with slicks as tires, 650HP is plenty for about a 10 second pass. Don’t turn it into a dyno queen, but keep it reliable, reasonable, and realistic.
