2001 Honda civic LX is hard to start only when motor is cold
Hi
I have a Honda Civic LX year is 2001. I recently changed the head gasket on it. However it starts hard when the motor is cold. It always starts but takes 3-4 cranks when cold. I have tested and changed sensers including MAP senser temperature senser. I am getting no codes on my scanner either. Fuel pumpnworks fine my fuel pressure is normal i am stumped does anyone have any ideas? Even after starting car and immediately shutting it off it starts perfectly normal when starting it again. But as soon as motor cools it starts hard again. Spark plugs are fairly new as well. I dont know where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated
Also have checked all fuses multiple times. I believe i have tried all obvious solutions. Dont know what could be causing this. I was extremely careful to a good job and do everything right including tighting bolts to spec when i changed head gasket. All timing marks lined up as well or as close as belt would allow me. Dont believe this could be a timing issue anyway because of it starting perfectly as soon as motor warms up even the slightest bit. Still thinking it might be fuel pressure but my gauge reads normal. I do lose fuel pressure as it sits but dont believe that is the problem either because after it warmed up i purpose fully released all fuel pressure and it still started instantly if motor was warm. Really need help here.
Thank you

No still never figured it out im completely stumped
however now you have given me reason to believe it might be a timing issue although makes no logical sense
If you figure it out let me know
