Alright so, let me clear everything up before i get dogged for not reading other forum posts. i HAVE read that huge *** guide on catchcans and everything but im trying to see if this setup will work because i havent really seen anyone cover this, but i have a lsvtec, itr head, b18b1 block, the works. i only have one nipple on the back of the block threaded and want to keep it that way for sake of labor but here is my question.
Can i run that port with a t from my valve cover to the inlet port on the catch can, then just put a tube and filter on the other outlet side? its a vented can already and ive been told i can do that i just want to make sure that wont affect anything with vaccum or vac leaks. im pretty new with using catchcans i just want to make sure this setup can actually work and what would be the proper way to do it with one port on my block if its wrong. i have read all the other catchcan forums but i still havent got a solidified answer to that. thanks!
so a bunch of views and no replies? just need advice here, i only want to use one port for the crank vent and i just dont know what to run the outlet line to, intake with a check valve?
I think you will be fine with the way you want to run it. Just use a volvo check valve between the line from the valve cover port and block port.
The second port on the catch can can be plugged or blocked.
Or you can just block the vent port on the back of the block and just use the Level 7 oil cap/ catch can vent to vent the crank case PSI. much simpler setup!!

Can you explain the logic behind that set up? Two hoses running from the same point to a catch can? Is your OE PCV set up still in place?
