Default Distributor installed today

I installed a new distributor in my 91 civic 1.5 liter. Lined everything up, first piston in correct spot so was timing belt. It is a lifetime warranty distributor from autozone, FYI. It started right up but odometer not working now, it worked the other day, and then all of a sudden the engine dropped idle and then stalled out and after all that it would start but stall out immediately. Can someone please tell me what happened to odometer and what's the deal with distributor?

The odometer is driven off the speedometer cable, if your speedometer is still working than the odometer mechanism has failed somehow. The distributor could not have caused this issue.

Idle/stall could have to do with the distributor. Pull the cap and check the rotor. Did you get a CEL, and if so, what codes?
