Default 1995 civic Lx -- Distributor Mystery?

I have a 1995 civic Lx. I had a distributor put in about 3 months ago car ran great for about 3 days then started to idle bad and hesitate and feel like there was no power. The car broke down about a week ago and had to have another distributor put in, just got it back about 4 days ago and ran perfect the first 2 days now its starting to act up again and im afraid the distributor is going to go bad again.. could there be something causing the distributor to keep going bad? Wire? fuse? ballast resistor? ICM? ECU? ACG fuse? I found a number of things online but dont know where to even begin!! HELP!!!

This^

And when the engine won't start, have you checked for spark and fuel?

Both distributors were brand new.. had new spark plugs and wires put in and fuel system was checked out and ok.. i tried resetting the ECU to see if maybe that could be causing it but still runs the same.. like crap.. I had the timing checked out he said the belt is a little loose but ok.. could there be a wire shorting something out?

Will the car start now? If not, have you checked whether the timing belt snapped?

Any CEL codes?

a good ground is crucial for the distributors longevity. check to see if each of the grounds read the same as battery voltage. and dont use cheap dizzys. only use honda for ignition parts...cant go wrong and will last forever

that belt being loose may have caused a problem but if u dont have spark i would guess you have a bare wire touching somethimg it shouldnt or as previously stated a bad ground

Check the coil, once the engine warms up, it won't give the engine power. It's like a TV. The coil won't give the TV power when it warms up. Is it possible that the inside is getting wet?

main relay can get warm and make the car die. Or bad grounds can make the ICM in the distributor fail. Cheap distributors are junk to start with. OEM or used OEM parts are better than aftermarket.
