My current project is a B20 AWD swap into my Sedan which is currently also being readied for a Hatch Conversion.
The power plant is where I need opinions and suggestions. I have 2 motors/trans and about a $3k Budget to rebuild (1) of the 2 for my car. The other will be sold for extra funds.
The Motors are :
-B20B (Stopped running likely due to compression and sat until pulled today) This motor was in a coupe I bought to flip and im taking the running motor out of my CRV for it to resell and increase this projects funds.
-H22A4 (Lost oil psi at 125mph or more. Still ran.) (Have full H swap to EK for this already. Everything literally to drop in EK)
I have both manual transmissions so after researching there is a trans gearing that I could play with between both.
Goals: Turbo 500hp Max Street Daily Pump Gas. Id take anything less than 450.
I plan to do most of the mechanical labor myself but the CSS and related items are in the budget to be done at a machine shop.
Im shopping for pistons and rod (Maxpeeding for the B) setups for both currently. The only thing I'm unsure of is which to build. If I don't go H2B that will save me $450 so that's enough incentive for me to initially just go with the B20B. Any suggestions for a setup that would net close to 5 are welcomed. Pistons, Rods, Cams? How much headwork would be sufficient? I have a buddy selling a B16 with a type R cam and springs. Don't know what that's worth. Injector sizes too, I already have a Walbro 255 but that will need to come out at some point for a fuel cell but that's on my mind but not the focus. The setup I will be breaking-in in the Crv that I have. Once it's running fine NA, I would later pull it once the Civic is done. Im only focusing on the Engine and Transmission while its out so it can go into the Crv until the CIvic Hatch conversion is completed. Let me know ya'lls thoughts please on which Engine to rebuild with boost in mind. The current T3/T4 Turbo I have is what will go on it for now but I want to build the engine for me now and upgrade the turbo when I take it out of the CRV.
Thanks for any help.
