boosting 12lbs sometimes. then 16lbs?
fully built 97 h22 prelude, sleeves, pistons, rods, crank, valves, springs, etc etc etc, precision 58,/58 turbo, 1000cc injectors, Neptune.
im running boost by gear, it should be 7-9 1st and 2nd then 15 3rd 4th and 5th. lately in 3 4 and 5 i am getting about 12-13lb boost however tonight i took it out and in 4th gear it jumped back up to 15-16lbs. what could cause this? i have a tial wastegate, I was gonna start by removing and cleaning it. any suggestions?

Changes in air density/temperature mostly. It's getting warmer so less dense air = less boost. At night it cools down, so you're back to your target.
If you want it to be at your target in all weather, you need to tune the IAT compensation tables.

i understand what you are saying but that is not the case here. there is not large enough difference in temp from day to night where i am. i think it may be something with the wastegate or a boost leak somewhere in the intercooler piping
Have you looked at the logs to verify that?
Otherwise, we can't test your car for boost leaks or wastegate issues over internet forums so I don't know what you're expecting. Go rule that stuff out and report back if you're still having issues.
