178k, timing belt done in the last 10k, just passed VA annual inspection in December. BONE stock. I paid $1900. It is not that pretty, but it really is not that ugly either.
I am going to daily this. The last umpteen number of rides I have had have been V8's. The last 4cylinder I had was probably a car I owned in 2009. I have a hunch gas is going to jump WAY up, and I am just tired of expensive maintenance dailying big German stuff.
Nice find man! $1,900 is a steal! about what i paid for my hatchback! i own several cars but i daily my civic and its very comfortable to drive as a daily and MPG is awesome! i save so much money driving my civic! Its bone stock and serves me well!
I really like the wider wheel base of the civic compared to my Integra GSR. It feels more stable at high speeds and takes corners just as good despite not having an LSD in the gear box like the Integra i have.
I never noticed nor considered this lol, makes perfect sense.
OP - I just picked up a 98 ex same color, but 50k more miles, and its my daily, so I'll be checking in on this build. I'm currently just fixing and replacing little **** the last owner broke/jerry rigged. After that, definitely debating between GSR swap or H2B because I'm originally an F/H series guy.
Debating regearing the type r with a longer 5th gear and swap in a high compression b20. That power would be all I need to get around. If I want I'll get that em1 procharger kit and slap that on with a decent tune.

I scare myself in 5th using a stock USDM Type R trans. a longer 5th would be insane!
But yea a B20 would definitely benefit using a pro charger kit. On my B18C5 on 14 psi I'm only revving to 7,800 rpm! so if i had a B20 i would have more TQ and still keep the engine safe under 8k rpm. using a Vtec head will only add to the ponies!
