Default Needing help with my d16a6/z6 mini me build turbo size. And timeing quesyion

I know there should be alot.. hi I have a built a d16a/z6 head and am woundering what turbo your running and when it hit full boost. Dyno numbers.. here my build
d16a6 block
speedfactory no notch long rods
vitara pistons.75.5 bore (cr 9;1)
acl hi performance oil pump
king racing bearing
Auto zone water pump
Autozone timeing belt
D16Z6 HEAD
BC valve springs and steel retainers
Supertech valve seals
Stock refresh. (Lap valves, polish valves. Resurfes head(.(minimal)
Skunk 2 intake manifold and 70mm tb
Aem fuel rail, blox fuel pressure reg
stock fuel lines,, aem 320lph fuel pump
Bosch 1000cc ingeters
.now for turbo this where I need help.. if been looking at a go auto works cast manifold or a 1320 ram horn .and also have a problem finding the right turbo. If been looking at a gt3071 with .63a/r compressor and .5 turbine. Or a tx-50e-57. I know that would spool alot faster but capable of 23+psi and 400-450whp thanks in advance

also if any one has built a d16a6/z6 heaf i would love to ask you few questions

While I have never done a mini-me build, I've had a built Z6 for a good while. I would recommend a GO-AUTOWORKS mini ram for ya rather than that cast or 1320. Not sure what your turbo budget is, but on my setup, I ran a GTW3476 and at 26psi dynod at almost 364whp and had lots of room to grow. My clutch started slipping around 340tq so I had to dial it down. You'd hit your goal on around 29psi with that one. Hitting a 3rd gear pull from 3krpm, 40ish mph, went from no boost to full boost by 4800rpm.

i was running a spooling performance quick 4 manifold along with a gt2860
had an early spool and build up full boost by apprx 3500rpm and kept at it till redline. then again...my redline was @ 6800

Talk to Greg @ Go-Autoworks and see what he recommends. I'm making 400 whp with their cast manifold and the Turbonetics TNX C15 52/57, and originally made 316 whp with a Turbonetics TNX 20/60. Full boost with the 20/60 was early. The 52/57 is slower to spool, but it's still pretty quick. Sorry I don't have any RPM numbers for you. I do know someone making over 450 on the same manifold, I believe with a GTX2867R. This manifold is good for keeping AC and for saving some cash, but you will need to be picky with what turbo you choose - it needs to be a straight T3 or smaller, or if it's a T3/T4, you'll need a T04B compressor cover. Again, I recommend talking to Greg and seeing what he recommends for your setup/goals.

A GTX2867R is definitely a step in the right direction, but there are definitely others, that can stay in the T04B family

What is the actual HP/driving goal, what chassis, and does the car have A/C?

well the cast manifold is all I can afford right now since I'm putting the money in a good turbo and waste gate.. also i decided to get css and forged pistons so I can now boost way higher

that power level can be done with higher knock resistant fuel, and be prepared to cut the webbing of the block a bit with a to4e compressor cover size

400 can be pulled off easy enough with pump 93.

If that is the case (and assuming this is a non a/c car) then I'd suggest saving up/spending a little more and going to the Mini Ram manifold option paired with an effective/efficient/reliable turbo option and gate.
Whenever someone says "T04e 60/63...." I immediately default to "replica turbo" and would suggest using something else.
If that is the turbo that you have upgraded to then I would only suggest the cast log in a non a/c configuration as that compressor cover is going to require too much notching to fit properly in the designed position (which is tucked in to the block, comp housing towards trans side of the motor for a/c).

It's ok to agree to disagree.
