How To - AC and heater delete - Fixing points and locations
Quick writeup for gutting the AC and heating components underneath your dash. Wanted to go over this since the previous owner of my car did a real hack job and left all the piping and under-dash parts in. All the weight of the cooling system without the benefits of AC. Great huh.
Air Conditioning removal
1) After the condenser is removed, the plumbing can be removed in two sections. Unhook the pipes at the location right behind the headlight. There's a bracket underneath the radiator holding it in. Once that's unbolted, you should be able to wiggle the front section out.
2) For the rear section, remove the air box, battery, and battery tray. It's held in place by two 10mm bolts right at the firewall. Once those two bolts are off, wiggle a bit to break the seal between the o-rings and the two parts and the remainder of the plumbing can be removed.
3) Remove all connectors from the interior. There should be two or three visible from the top, and a pair of power cables going to the blower underneath. Disconnect everything.
4) The condenser and blower are held in place by nuts on studs at the top, as well self tapping screws on the bottom and a drain hose for the evaporator.
5) Cut or remove the drain hose from the underside of the evaporator. This is to drain condensation from the evaporator; it should be dry. You can now pull this through from the firewall side and pull it through the fixing point on the subframe.
6) Pull straight backwards. AC removal is now complete. If you need to retain the blower for defroster, you need to make custom ducting or retain the plastic box that the evaporator sits in.
7) Install AC block off if desired. P/N 91631-SR3-000
Heater unit removal
1) Remove air box, intake, battery, and battery tray for ease of access. Place a catch pan underneath the car
2) For a budget friendly delete, unhook the heater hose before the bypass valve and loop this to the inlet on the thermostat side. Hose may form a kink as it is molded for a different bend. Otherwise, replace section with a 5/8th heater hose.
3) Unbolt bypass valve from firewall. 10mm nut on stud. It will still be attached by the hose.
3) Unhook heater hose cable from valve with your hand. It's slipped on to a smooth stud of sorts, similar to how the control cable in the interior is attached to the heater unit. Unhook the cable housing from its fixing point with a flat head screwdriver.
4) Remove hose clamps on the heater core. For spring-style clamps, use a pair of tounge-and-groove pipe wrenches and go in sideways from the passenger side where the air intake has been removed. If the clamps are facing upwards, you should be able to move them away from the firewall with this method. Otherwise, you will need the remote-style hose clamp tool. Slide the clamps far enough forward so there's room in front of the heater core fitting to cut.
5) Once the hose clamps are slid forward, take a set of cutters and sever the heater hoses in front of the fittings. Remove the outlet hose as well as the bypass valve which should now be free. You should be left with these things attached to the firewall.
6) Remove the 12mm fixing nut that attaches the heater unit to the firewall. It is located above the heater core inlet/outlet on the right side.
7) Unbolt the two 10mm nuts on the top and pull the heater core straight back. Keep the inlet and outlet hoses facing upwards so coolant isn't dumped into your interior.
8) Top off coolant and bleed as needed. Heater core delete complete. To retain the defroster without the heater housing, the ducting in the dash must be modified and custom ducting done to connect the AC unit/blower to the defroster duct that's integrated into the firewall.

Question - can you remove the blower unit and leave the AC evaporator hooked up and in place?
The blower is located in a way in which you need to remove the AC evaporator first. I tried wiggling it out and it doesn't seem that there's enough space to remove it.
Order for removal goes something like... AC unit, Blower, Heater.

Thanks, I think this will come in handy. I want to do a little tuning, change the air intake, filter, plans to add power to the engine. I was just advised the air intakes cold air intake for honda civic, for my Honda Civic 2018, I think the car will become more powerful. I also like that they contribute to fuel economy, there is even a video installation guide, your guide will also help me.
