sorry guys, I'm a little confused. do i get a large wrench and undo the hex bolt on the o2, or do i just pull it apart? please help me cuz i'm installing a header and I need to remove the cat, but i can't figure out how to remove the o2 and i don't want to break it. thanks again

 

Just wrench it off. Unsrews, be careful of all the wires getting too twisted.

 

i wrench off the 18+ size hex bolt right? thanks rguy for the quick reply

 

pull the wires/plug/grommet down and disconnect the plug first, then you don't have to worry about the wiring

 

hmmmm i didn't see a plug for the 02 on the cat. i already disconnected the one on the header.thanks

 

it's behind the green grommet, pull the grommet down and the plug will follow.

 

thanks guys, I pulled down the rubber thing and there was the plug. got the sucka out in a jiffy thanks to you guys. There was one minor problem though. As I was fiddling with the plug, the cat hit me in the face, and now I've got a fat lip, but the install was worth it

The O2 Sensor on the cat is a bitch to get off. I used a money wrench and a hammer.

 

this is what i did.

 

it might be hard to turn .. if so heat it up

 

undo the plug, unscrew the cat and take it off. put in a test pipe and OBDI ECU, wont need the 2nd o2 sensor anymore. w00t.

22mm wrench...unplug the sensor....then hit the wrench with a hammer to crack it loose
