Default Can I remove a chip from my ecu?

I have a chipped p28 for my d16z6 on a 1995 civic ex and was wondering if I can remove all the chipped portion and it would go back to stock or will it stay stuck in some form of limp mode.

It's my understanding you can return it to stock. I believe you have to cut or remove the jumper that was added to force the ECU to use the chip.

You have a P28 ECU so there is already the vtec circuitry so that area of the board is irrelevant.

This link shows the jumper is at J1. This is where you would cut or remove.
