95 civic no compression
Ok so I have a 95 civic with a d15b8 and the car has been running great for the 500 miles I’ve had it besides minor stuff up until now. I got into the car after about a week of it sitting and I drove it around for about an hour. I noticed my temp gauge completely stopped working out of the blue. Okay so car is fine doesn’t smell weird or anything and hasn’t overheated on me since I’ve had it so I thought all was good. Next day I’m driving in the interstate and the car just shuts off out of no where, so I pull over and the coolant hose has a hole in it and the car will not start anymore. I did a compression test and it’s 35 30 28 30 across the board and the car has no spark now as well. What happened?
Did you check the mechanical timing?
Does the distributor rotor spin when you crank the engine?
Does battery voltage reach the coil and igniter unit? Have you inspected the distributor internals for moisture?
For the compression tests, did you hold the pedal at WOT and disable the fuel injectors?
What CEL codes are stored in the ECU?
