Default 3 legged hone operation

Hi I've been doing research and havent really came up with anything but when useing a 3 leged hone who has hone there block by stop there hone while in the cylender or keep it moving. I've built a few motors and have always stopped at the top or the cylinder and have had no problem with ring sealing. But same people say to keep it moving all the way out. But that seems alil dangerous to me considering it springs out. I know people are gonna say take it to a machine shop. But I'm just woundering about personal experience

Yeah the 3 stone honer I would stop and then same as when u put it in press in the arms so they take the stones off the cylinder wall and remove it, But I always like to use a ball honer it seems to come out so much better

If you read up on Flexhone, if you choose the right material and grit, it does plateau style honing which is precisely what Honda intended from my understanding.
