Default Is my starter dead?

Car doesn't attempt to crank at all when you turn the ignition.

I'm measuring battery voltage at the starter, I just can't check it under load because I'm by myself.

Shorting the starter solenoid you can hear a click, but still does not attempt to crank.

Tried jumping the battery. Tried using jump start device directly on starter with car in neutral, still no luck.

Was just strange this happened after I fixed a bunch of grounds. But if jumping the solenoid doesn't get this to crank, confirms it was just a coincidence that the starter died right?
Just strange how I never had issues with it, and all a sudden nothing, didn't even struggle before it died

Check that the transmission ground is clean and tight on both the transmission and chassis. If that's fine, bench test the starter motor.

The transmission and chassis ground wire is essentially 1 wire correct? That was the one I replaced. Sanded down the ground points, cleaned with brake cleaner, bolted down, and then I sprayed some fluid film on top of the connections to keep them from rusting.

I got a DB Electric Starter coming this week, I'll update this thread when it gets here.

Yes, I was just mentioning where the two ends connect.

Yeah those are def clean and tight as I just bought a new OE cable. I tried to bench test the starter in the car by using a jumpstart device to get the starter to turn over, still no luck

New starter coming Thursday I'll update this thread to let people know if it was a bad coincidence that the starter died after replacing my ground cable, or if it was indeed something else.

It's the original starter with 210k miles so I won't feel bad if the original starter was still good.

Installed the new starter. It's a DB Electrical Starter. Perfect fit.

Took 2 cranks to start which was weird, but starts up consistently after. There's a slight delay in starting when I turn the ignition switch.

Going to dip the positive battery terminal in vinegar/salt to really deep clean them. Trying to avoid replacing this as it's part of the engine harness with multiple cables attached. Negative cable is brand new along with grounds

Bench tested the old starter again, it gave a half hearted crank and wouldn't crank again. Def dead.
