Lets start with the Civic year, trim level, and transmission type.

Plug in a proper scan tool and make sure both clutch switches are responding correctly and the brake position switch is working. More advanced tools will show cruise control log. May or may not be a function on the 05 Civic.

They seem to be fine but im not even getting a green light indicator from my switch to the left of my knee I know that switch doesnt run through the brake or clutch those are later in the circuit I have studied the wiring diagram throughly lol and I have checked the orange wire for power and it has 12 volts and ive checked the black wire for ground and it grounds out as well according to the diagram the red and redblack wire are supposed to go to the dash indicator to make the cruise light come on the dash this is where im stumped I got power and ground but no light telling me its on and i have three of those switches 2 used and one brand new one used one is confirmed working as i took ot out of a wrecked car that still drove and tried the cruise out in it and it worked perfectly fine

Also I have a Bluetooth obd2 dongle could you recommend an app that has that function? Or is that based on the obd2 dongle itself.

What you have stated, with respect to your testing, would suggest that the cruise control system works. This means that you have missed something: tested incorrectly or made assumptions that are factually untrue. I suggest you Google a FSM for your application and follow the trouble-shooting flow chart to the "T". You will discover the problem. The cruise control system in your vehicle is NOT that complicated.

Focus here^

This involves using a multimeter to ensure the cruise control computer is appropriately receiving and lacking signals from the pedals.

You are not getting the cruise main switch to turn on? That is going to be step one. That should light up no matter what the clutch and brake switches are doing.

Given the SRS code, the cable reel would be a suspect.

These diagrams may help:

Sorry i havent posted back in a while I just about gave up but due to my job being so far away its aggravating me again lol what is an fsm? I would love to get my hands on a detailed troubleshooting guide so I can test for exact voltages and resistance and see where my issues are occurring. But as ryan stated the light doesnt even light up on the main switch and I have verified voltage on the orange black wite and ground to be between 12 and 14 volts depending if the car is running or not.

FSM = Factory Service Manual. You can order them from your local Honda Parts Department or directly from Helminc.com.

Okay I got my hands on a factory service manual and it only has one page regarding the cruise control and its of the same diagram I got off the internet lol. Does anyone know what voltage should be on the red and red black wire? Or is that for illumination only and have nothing to do with the cruise working?

If the Blk/Orn wire has battery voltage, then the main switch may be bad or the ON/OFF bulb in the switch is bad.

Okay guys sorry its been a while but i finally started to look into it again. I had bought a radio and installed in my civic when I realized they had a red or a red/blk wire (cant remember lol) hooked up to a speaker wire. Which is a illumination wire. Dumba$$3$. I fixed it and bought a new switch and walah I got a light lol. But the cruise still does not work and I do not have a light on the dash. Where else do those red and red/blk wires go? Does anyone know? I might be able to chase down what else they could have fried.
