Need Some Help. A/C button in EK9 Climate control doesn't work
Where to start. I have installed a EK9 CTR climate control in the my 2000 EJ6. Everything went in great with out any issues. EXCEPT one! I was not using my head when I installed it and I used the harness to the climate control that was already in my car and not the EK9 one. Now this was last winter I did this and I have been trying to solve this up until now. Everything works except the AC button. I have pulled up USDM wiring diagrams for it and have run all checks up to the climate control. I am thinking something is different in the EK9 connectors in where they go in to the climate control. Any help on this would be great whether in the form of photos of the EK9 harness plugs are in the way of the EK9 wiring diagram. Thanks

If you ground the Blu/Red wire in the A/C thermostat connector and turn on the blower, does the A/C work? If so, have you considered that the EK9 heater control panel may be bad?
Can you post the circuit diagram for the EK9 heater control panel?

Re: Need Some Help. A/C button in EK9 Climate control doesn't work
I have checked the whole wiring circuit. I had the compressor running all the way up to the thermostat in the climate control box. Here is a picture of the wiring for my EJ6. As for the EK9 Type R. I don't have that one and I am trying to figure out if the short harness from the climate control to the main harness is different before I look at getting a new climate control. I have checked everything up to the red section. I also have voltage at the switch which changes when the button is pressed. What I am also needing is the pin out for the EK9 one as I am wondering if the pin out for it is different. Thanks for your help.
