Replacing Fuel Injectors, is retuning required?
I’ve browsed around a bit, came up short. This a theoretical question.
Say I have RC750cc injectors, with a vehicle tuned on Neptune. In the future, I decide to switch over to a Bosch style injector, maybe 1000cc. Would one be able to just punch in the new injector size and would Neptune be able to rescale everything appropriately? Or would it still need to be gone though as needed to smooth out the AFR again.
I would imagine that it would be able to rescale it to a certain extent, and get it in the ballpark at least of where it should be.
again, I was just curious and was wondering if any of you guys have dealt with that or not.

If your car is boosted which I’m sure I seen in your build it is. You should have a wide band. I would make the injector size change put in the dead times for your new injectors and Fire it up and see what the air fuel is like. If it good then take for a slow drive and see how it is and then if it’s good progress in to slowly getting into boost and then into boost harder and harder until you see if it’s dropping afr as it did before and then do a pull ad watch the gauge like a hawk and if it starts to lean out lift. Making fuel changes is a very simple thing to do in a tune. Now the timing is a whole other thing.
Well, this is more of a future nate problem. I’m currently running rc750s. They are in good shape, but if they give me any fits I do plan in upgrading to maybe some 1300cc and switch over to E85.
but as of now, I don’t feel comfortable tuning it. I’d rather pay the guy again to go through and make it right. Although I have read enough to know I could go in and bump fuel up and get my AFR where I want it to be, like you said about the ignition I wouldn’t plan on making any adjustments there. I’ll leave that to the guy with more experience and the dyno to make those adjustments.

you dont have to tune it just monitor if it needs retune take it in. IMO everyone should have a wide band if something changes you will know
Yeah I do have a wideband. I guess I was just wondering the ability of Neptune to be able to essentially rescale your set fuel values for the new injectors. I mean going in and adding reducing fuel seems like it could be easy enough. The timing I wouldn’t fee comfortable making adjustments on though.

I beleive it does hmy s300 has the same ...haven't tried altering it ever but in theory it should work, also new injectors will have new dead times you will want to update those aswell
