Default using the JDM D16A manifold?

Hello I have a question I searched but could not find a good answer, Im doing a JDM D16A swap in my 2000 civic to replace the D16Y7, I know the JDM D16A is a direct replacement for the US D16Y7 and that I must transfer over all the sensors and distributor and also the intake manifold assembly.

My question is can I use the intake manifold that's on the D16A? and whats needed for it to work! I think the desighn is better than the manifold on my Y7 because it has the top fed throttle body style, here is a pic of the D16A with the manifold im talking about.

Technically you won't pass smog but if the tech passes visual then you're good to go.

You don't need to referee it so I'd just see if it'll slide by a smog tech. If they flag it just swap the stock manifold and tricat over and it'll pass no problem.

Is there any true benefits of using this manifold? and will it give me any check engine lights for any sensors?

It's a better flowing manifold. Out of the stock D series manifolds these flow the best.

You might see a .8hp gain on the butt Dyno

I see.. too bad we already swapped the manifolds and the engine is in. I was under the impression it wouldn't work because of a sensor issue or something, I don't think its worth it now to put the JDM manifold on when the engine is already in the bay now. I just might sell but is it worth anything ? I also have the D16Y7 long block it has a spun rod what's that worth by chance?

I picked up a y8 manifold (same thing) for like $55 on eBay complete.

Single cams with a spun bearing...maybe a scrap yard will give you $30 for it?
