Default Engine swaping questions

Hi,

So im new to engine swapping ive never done it before, currently in my civic ex coupe I have a d16z6 engine, its leaking oil out of the head and yeah I could just replace the head but they are about $400 for a brand new one. So I thought I might as well spend the extra hundred or two and just get a whole new engine. If I were to buy a b20 I found online, would I be able to just remove my engine and basically plug everything back in to that one? or would I need a new trans and different adapters and stuff to get it to work with my car? Im assuming I would need different engine mounts because its a different engine. Idk if im better off just replacing the head or just buying the same engine again and replacing that. Again ive never done this so im not really sure what to do, I want to challenge myself but I don't want to dive in knowing absolutely nothing so whatever you guys could help me with I would appreciate it.

Thank you

an oil leak does not require a replacement head to fix. the valve cover gasket and the distributor o-ring are the two most common sources for oil leaks on the top end (cylinder head) of that engine. full retail price for both of those items would run you less than $40

the how-to for replacing a D-series engine with a B-series engine is all across the web.

Its a brand new valve cover gasket and I had a problem with the valve cover bolts they wont tighten down all the way so I thought the bolts were stripped. I bought new ones and its not so the actual threds in the head are stripped so wouldn't I have to replace it anyway?

Doesn’t sound good on those holes. May be able to tap them and just get some longer bolts the next size up. 1/4in is the next up from 6mm, I think.

Swapping that B20 into this would require a matching transmission and ECU along with other miscellaneous related parts like mounts and axles.
