Icon5 Painting exterior of oil pan

The oil pan is mostly in good shape but there are splotches of rust that I would like to take care of. Should I use a 2-part epoxy primer and go over it with enamel? What about the rocker panel paint (I've never used it, so going on description) that stays soft to prevent chipping? Or undercoating? Or just forget it?

I'd love to get suggestions of specific products if anyone has used them and had good luck.

Thanks!
