B16 swap Loom and Ecu setup
Hello, Im just after swaping a b16a2 engine from a 2000 Em1 civic into an 1998 ej6 shell, I cant seem to figure out the correct loom and ecu set up, I know the ej6 chasis is obd2a and the loom from the Em1 is obd2b, so do I need to get an obd2a engine loom? What ecu do I use then without effecting the immobiliser, Im very lost any help greatly appreciated.
I have a b16a2 swap with a d16 harness a an obd2 ecu can i just use a conversion from obd1 to 2 onto the ecu or do i have to replace the whole harness.it bogs out some times so i think its cause the harness. Besides that it runs fine.

Use the engine harness that came with your 1998 Civic... and move/modify/lengthen/shorten/add the necessary plugs and wiring to make it all connect to the EM1 B16A2 engine and drop it in. Get the needed plugs from the EM1 engine harness. Trying to make the EM1 engine harness work in the '98 Civic is a giant mess, so unless you are really good with wiring, I advise against this.

I'm guessing by the terminology that you're somewhere in western Europe. If you had an MPFI D-series you can modify the original engine harness and use that. If it was an SFI D-series you wont be able to. If you have the complete EM1 donor car you can swap the engine harness, cabin harness and door harnesses into the EJ6, you just can't use the engine harness by itself with the EJ6 cabin harness. Some of the immobilizers are easily bypassed, some aren't. The European stuff is often different than North American. If yours uses the red learning key I don't believe they are easily bypassed.

Right so I modified my d16y7 harness and plugged all in and no check engine light. I bought a p2t ecu from a b16A VTI. The engine starts fine but idles very low and idle fluctuates also. After you rev it the idle drops down very low and sometimes cuts out. The engine also lacks major power and bogs out when you accelerate, when you put your foot down theres hardly any change in speed it takes ages for it to pick up a bit of speed. I cleaned ith IACV but no change, what is causing this and how can I fix it? Could it have something to do with the ecu as the original p2t ecu that was with the engine came out of an obd2b car but the p2t ecu im using now is out of an obd2a car?
I think I know the cause of this problem, the car was running on 2 cylinders as a result of bad injectors, I then went to change injectors and now the car wont start. Same thing happened yesterday when I unplugged a sensor when I plugged it back in it would not start again, so I left it and next morning started up fine. Now when i replaced the injectors same thing happeneing, I turn the key but fuel pump wont prime car does turn over, I checked the relay and grounds all good. I then went to inspect the ecu and found that when I had the ignition turned on and removed the small c plug from the ecu the pump would then prime? Seems very weird to me I i tried a different ecu and same thing was happening I have no idea what the problem is, any help I would graetly appreciate.
Thanks for all the replys, the engine now starts I just plugged out the map sensor a couple of times and it started up, it's still misfiring tho the two middle pistons aren't getting fuel, changed injectors and they are both getting power, I suspect a signal issue how could I fix this?
Basically I'm not getting any signal from the ecu to the injectors 2 and 3.I'm definitely getting power to all

I got a 12 volt bulb and wired the positive side to the positive wire on the injector plug and the negative side of the bulb into where the injector wire goes into the ecu and sends out the signal, I then cranked the engine and the the bulb lit up as it got a pulse from injectors 1 and 4 but not in injectors 2 and 3 so no pulse coming from the ecu, what could the problem be?
