1991 civic obd0 dpfi mpfi conversion already done. jumper from obd0 to 1 with a p28 ecu. i put a y8 head on my d15b2 block but i cant get this pile to run.. it cranks , has fuel, compression is good, has spark. i just learned the dizzy on a y8 does not have crank position sensor in it like the d15B2 does. i think my engine wont start due to this , im not familiar with any of this. so my questions are
1. could this be whats holdin me back?
2. Can the engine run without the crankshaft position sensor?
3. If I use the Y8 distributor what do I do about the missing crankshaft position sensor ?
4. can I use the d15b2 distributor on the y8 head?

 

Not sure about the OBD0 d15b2 distrubutor but all D15 OBD1 distributors will work on Y8 except d16z6 and d15z1
