Default Curious about this part.

Hey I recently bought a b16a2 swaped ek hatch. I noticed later that this part was a loose. Does anyone know what it is? It connects to the fuel injectors by the rail.

Default Acceleration issue B16 swap

Hey ive got a 99 civic hatch with a B16 swap. I have this issue where at a certain throttle it starts to bog down and struggles pretty hard. But after half a second it picks up like normal and accelerates perfect. Its mostly stock with just a skunk intake and AEM fuel rail. Any ideas would be great.

Merged as the part might be related to your bogging issue and this is about the same car.

That is your purge solenoid. Your hood sticker should show you it's plummed . Goes from charcoal canisters to purge and then to the intake manifold. I don't think it's the cause of bogging.

I didn’t think so either and I found that out after a bit of digging around. It’s a super weird issue that I can quite figure out with my limited knowledge of issues like this.

Do you know if it's a stock ECU or if the ECU is chipped?

Have you tested fuel pressure?

It’s definitely a stock ecu. And accordingly to the fuel pressure gauge it’s over 80psi atleast

That would be a problem. The stock fuel pressure regulator runs about 40 psi (varies with manifold vacuum). If the ECU is stock, the fuel pressure and injectors have to be stock as well.

Also if the fuel return line from the regulator to the tank is clogged the fuel pressure will be too high.

How are you checking fuel pressure? If it's a B&M gauge, they are notorious for failing or being incorrect.

No CELs?
