I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe 5 Speed and I am doing a OBD2 USDM B16A2 swap. My qustion is what bracket and/or cable will I need? I know there are lots of post on this subject but they all have "JDM IM, GSR IM, OBD0 IM, ETC" They all go off topic. I heard a 99-00 SI throttle cable will work on my stock gas padel and the D16Y8 cable braket. Is this true?

 

If you have a stock intake manifold on the USDM B16A2, then use the OE '99-00 Civic Si throttle cable and the OE B16A2 throttle cable bracket (P2T). If you have a non-stock intake manifold, tell us what you have and the proper suggestions can be provided.

 

hey i got the same car, it had a d16y8 and i swapped it with a b16a2 i don't have the correct tb bracket on my car right now.. but i do have the pt2 bracket ready to put on. do i need to change my throttle body cable or will the the d16y8 one work?

 

The Y8 (Civic EX cable will not work. You will need the DOHC Civic Si cable. The factory part number is: 17910-S04-L02.
