Default Throttle Cable

Alright we're doing a B16A swap in an EG and we've tried a GSR throttle cable and the stock throttle cable and both don't reach. So its obvious now that we have to make a custom bracket or someting. The motor is JDM, does anyone have any pictures of custom brackets they've made on the manifold that we can go by? This is the only thing keep the swap from getting done. Thanks for your help.

You can use the stock throttle cable, but it won't be attached to the stock mounting arm on the driver side shock tower.

there is few ways you can approach this:
first use a GSR TB bracket on (found on GSR TBs) and using the stock cable or GSR either one will work

second is to make a small plate (check my pic below, I used it for over a month without problems and now I am using it again on my Skunk2 intake, as I got the wrong TB cable delivered)

thrid is to order a ITR tb cable about $25 shipped for complete cable which fits like a glove

yeah, i tried to post pics of mine, but couldnt find a sufficient enough pic, its fairly novice to make a throttle cable plate, should be no problem. good luck!

You can do a 95 Del Sol VTEC Throttle cable and throttle cable bracket for the Intake Manifold. That will work.

I used a stock 90-93 Integra cable from the junkyard. Fit onto the stock sir II bracket and works fine.

Thanks man, thats what me and Randy found out. We got a 95+ GSR cable from boosted2seater over at stlstreetracing but it was too short as well, so we figured a bracket was the problem. Then wen went up to Adrenaline Motorsports and tried to pull the cable outta a JDM clip that had sitting in the junk, but it was like... 5 feet long.

Gotta get that TC and the lower radiator hose and hopefully I'll drive my car home next time we go out there.

Yea, we tried that and its not a matter of it attaching to the mounting bracket where cruise control goes as well, its just that the cable won't reach when its bolted up to the bracket. I'm sure we'll just end up making a custom bracket like something listed above....
