1995 Civic EX coupe. I've had some rear suspension noises for the past forever. I replaced the trailing arm bushings and upper arms on both sides, which improved the handling a lot, but the clunking hasn't stopped. I pressed the trailing arm bushings without removing the trailing arms from the car, and I don't know that that's possible doing other bushings. There's a constant rattling on the rear driver side, and there's a slamming on the rear passenger side when the suspension bottoms out (like, going over speed bumps). I did some prying around, and it appears that at least 2 of the 3 lower arm bushings are shot, though I can't remember which 2. (In the attached diagram, they're bushings 19, 19, and 24 on each side.) I bought one bushing 19 and one bushing 24 for each side, as well as bolts.
I wanted to know if any of you have pressed bushings before and could give me any advice. Thanks. There are two 19 bushings. Just fyi.
I have noises as well, I am curious what my coil over units look like. It would almost be worth it to pull them and see if they could be the source of the noise...
