Hi im needing some help with my 1990 honda crx si with a 2001 honda crv engine. My problem rn is that it runs and starts but only for a few minutes. Im running the original ecu and engine harness and distributor all from the 90 crx.. i have when and got a new dizzy that fits the engine. but it wouldn't start after. my car will start and run then you can get down the road and it boggs out. also running turbo fuel pump with no fuel regulator. so currently my buddy told me i need to finish the swap so I'm going to go grab the 2001 crv ecu and i just ordered the obdo to obd1 ecu conversion jumper harness. I'm new to these imports. please help I'm so lost and need it to be running and be rippin.

 

 

sounds like a cool set up
but let me stop you before you make a mistake
dont get a crv ecu
those are obd2
what your going to want is a obd1 pr4 ecu out of the 92-93 manual integra
or the obd1 ecu that came on the 94-95 integra manual

Ok thank you much appreciated! I just looked up the ecu's and couldn't find one for that cheap. My buddy said that i can use the ecu out of the crv just my spdo and certain things won't work. the parts i been taking out of the junkyard have been working and the ecu there is only $20. Lmi what you think is best. I appreciate your help ! Much needed !

Another thing! if i get the pr4 ecu from the 92 or 93 can i put the crv dizzy that goes with the engine. ? And the obdo to obd1 ecu conversion jumper harness will still be needed? and is it just plug and play with 92-92 pr4 ecu ? Just clarify for me plz would be mad appreciated. New to the import world and need to guided in the right area! Thank you!

 

yes you can still use the crv obd2 dizzy, thats what im useing ^_^ but you will need to get he harness side plug wiring at the junk
and yes the ecu jumper harness will still be needed
the pr4 ecu from the 92-93 integra is a obd1 ecu thats why you need that jumper harness for it
also the obd1 94-95 integra ecu will work
and also the obd1 92-95 honda civic ecu will also work
but when looking for these ecus make sure you get them for a 5 speed thats very important


and also theres another option where you can use a( obd0 ) pr4 integra ecu and dizzy off the 90-91 integra
and with those you dont need a jumper harness at all it would just be plug and play with your crx si
the b20 motor off the cv is the same *** the b18 motor off the integra its just a bigger motor
so the dizzy off the integra bolts right up
