Default Distributor rotor location 97 CRV

I just replaced the distributor on a 97 crv, but forgot to check the rotor location on the old distributor, therefore did not get the matching position on the new on. I ran the car and noticed I was only running on 1-2 cylinders.
Now that I’ve run it, how can I find out what position to put the distributor rotor in?

Why don’t you remove the distributor cap and then turn your crankshaft to align all the engine timing marks, you can then see whether you timing is out by 180 degrees.
