i am SO sorry, i should have assumed you were under the influence of illegal drugs while soliciting help from strangers on the internet about your car. for the record- b series transmissions (b16/17/18) interchange. all of them, even cable.

 

They will mate up to the engine the same, but there are some differences in clutch disc compatibility between the pre-91 and post-91 model year transmissions. The size of the input shaft changed.

 

Thats what I have in my coupe. The gears are long as ****, but I'm boosting it next weekend, so it won't matter. But a lot of guys that have the LS trans and are NA hate how long the gears are, Personally, since I do a lot of highway driving, it doesn't matter to me.

That and still asking questions about simple Honda stuff from 15+ years ago.

 

Flip side of this coin is, it was 15 years ago the info was hot in the forefront and everyone knew.

Now it's buried and searching often gets an ugly mess of results that aren't always the easiest to filter to accurate info.

Sometimes its just easier to be stoned, ask and hope you get an answer from someone who remembers.
