HID Retrofit in a '95 Integra
The other month I picked up a ’95 Integra and it has the dumb halo’s with PnP HID, I want to change them out ASAP. Without going to a JDM front end, what are my HID Retrofit options?
I’ve been reading about a few retrofits in the 3G Integra’s, but everything seems to be dated back in ’05-’06 and it seemed like the TSX housing was the popular choice.
I had a Civic with Morimoto Mini-H1 and enjoyed them; it was an easy swap/upgrade (open the headlights and remove the H4 guts and install the new Projector and seal it back up). With the Integra is looks a little more involved and I would need to cut out the Projector (going to get a set of OEM lights).
Fast forward, 10+ years and what is everyone using now? Is it possible to do a Bi-Xexon Projector?
Which headlights are easier to retrofit; 94-97 or 98-01 (would need a new bumper and turns)?

94-97 and 98-01 headlights are identical internally, so retrofitting them is the same.
I retrofitted bi-xenon Morimoto FX-R 3.0 projectors into my Integra headlights. You are correct, you have to cut out the stock projectors, it is a huge pain in the ***. My car was wrecked and I'll sell you mine if you're interested. Or I'm happy to answer questions about the process. My headlights: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showpost.php?p=51020012&postcount=140
Another option is installing clear lenses in the factory headlights, it won't improve the throw or width but it will sharpen the cutoff. http://www.team-integra.net/forum/19...es-inside.html

The OEM have 3 bump lines to help with focusing on the halogen projector. The retrofit projectors don't need to use to 3 bump lines and removing them "cleans" up the cut off lines.
That's not what I mean by clear lenses, I mean swapping out the actual focusing lens inside the projector assembly. The factory lens is a dimpled lens, meaning that it intentionally distorts the light passing through to make the cutoff less sharp. Those three little lines on the outer lens don't affect the light output or clarity in any meaningful way.
What I'm saying is that the insides of the headlights are identical, and you'll have to open them anyways so I'd just sell you the guts/ballasts/custom bulb caps if you wanted to go that route and avoid hours of cutting out the stock projectors. One of my lenses was damaged in the accident anyways.
If you decide to modify your own, I'd consider going with the Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 projector as it is slightly smaller, still has excellent output, and wouldn't require as much cutting as the FX-R, it's what I would have used had it been available at the time. The Mini H1 you mentioned has decent output but the Mini D2S 4.0 blows away the current MH1 7.0 by a large margin as seen in this video:

I ended up picking up a set of Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 package and a set of OEM headlights. In the next week* or so (*month), I'll begin the retrofit.
The debate is "do I use OEM housing and cut and modify OR do I use the Eagle Eyes?" The Eagle Eyes have a metal flat steel frame, but the High beam ("flash to pass") bulb (H1) and wiring is hacked up.
