Thanks man. You know if it'll fit in a t2w4 or t2t4 case? Also emailed quaife about an aftermarket lsd and they just gave me some dimensions. You guys know of some part nunbers for an lsd that fit either or of these transmissions?

If that's the case how much hp/tq can an oem lsd on a T2W4 take before it busts?

Hello, I will take a minute here and explain. 450 ft lbs of torque seems to be the magic number where your Gamble will show on OEM gearsets. Roughly 550-600 whp. Key to make the OEM gearsets to last is properly set up Boost By Gear. Having all 15 lbs or so in 1st and 2nd Gear is not smart and probably wont be quicker. If can need to apply torque or boost as speed increases or in higher rpm. Having too much torque down low and low speed will hurt it.

Aftermarket LSDs and gearsets should fit any Transmission but the 14 bolt M2B4 jdm lsd transmission it is all by itself. The case is roughly 3/8" wider. Rest of the Transmissions are 10 bolt Diff. Except the ATTS Transmissions they are 14 bolt as well.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT.... buy any gearset from PAR!!!! It has been discussed recently in the H series Facebook forum. There was a small Group Buy of PAR Gearsets for the H22. There was 5 people. 4 out of the 5 people broke the Gearsets. 2-3 of those people were able to get replacement parts or complete all new gear sets. 1 person broke it for the 3rd and final time. Everyone has tried to get there money back of the 5 people. Only reason 5th gearset did not break because it was not used yet. It broke on the dyno, and it also broke on a 400 whp turbo setup. So what does that tell you. DO NOT BUY! It has been discussed that the metal used was not as durable as it should of been. It has also been discussed that the Heat Treating they did... did not work but made the gears weaker. Could of been done wrong who knows.

PPG gearset is what you want but does cost a penny! Anything under 450 ft lbs of torque OEM will work.
Saenz gearset is just as strong... however it was designed for All Motor setup. So the gearing of it is tad short even with the OEM 4.0 Accord Final Drive used over OEM H22 4.2 FD. You would probably need 3.3 FD to 3.8 FD to get things to be more desirable. Depending on Slick Setup you may be going into 5th Gear at the Finish Line. Final Drives are not cheap atleast good strong ones. To my knowledge the Mfactory Final Drives cannot take the abuse like the OEM for whatever reason.

I emailed ppg and they said they don't have anything for an H series trans. That's good news about the lsd because I was going to toss a quaife into this t2w4 I just picked up. I'll have to see if mfactory has one since par is a no go unless you have another place that makes a good straight cut for this trans. The guy that built my motor uses built his b series trans with the gearset has par and says its been running good, are they just bad on the h series stuff then? This thing gonna be up to 700hp so I need it to take the abuse.

Yes it seems the H series gearsets PAR has made are not working well. It is common you see one chassis/motor a certain Company may work better then a bigger more expensive Co. or same part does not work as well for other chassis/motor platform. Mfactory LSD or Quaife would be good LSDs to use. I would ask some more people in the know because when I talked to Mfactory few years ago about 14 bolt diff transmissions and what was innerchangable they weren't very knowledgable . I think some people say hey wont work on any JDM transmissions just to safe guard there butt but isn't the truth but a vague statement

Look up Trans Lab on Facebook. Brian is his name he is local guy and built my transmission. He is in the works with a Company to provide a Gearset for H transmission. But is not going to happen over night.

Rogers Lude our ESP sponsored Prelude 1100 hp turbo... believe he ran a PPG. I don't believe it was a one off Albins. They made them to my knowledge. Just maybe they quit making them.

Appreciate the quick feedback. I'll keep looking around for something that works and hopefully the quaife does fit because if not this trans is worthless to me at the moment. Does trans lab have a website other than Facebook as I don't have one.

Mfactory also had made a GearSet for the H transmission. But once again also had a local guy here use them when they first came out. He had broke 3rd and 4th Gears twice I believe. 600 HP He sold the car because of the trans issue $. So I would probably not go with the Mfactory GearSet. to my knowledge they discontinued them after my buddy broke them and pulled from shelf. However someone said recently they are still selling them.... so idk.

So far sounds like ppg isn't going to be making another h series gearset due to demand, emailed drag cartel and they recommended saenz so I'll see what they say.

The Saenz gearset holds the power. Local buddy has saenz he last year put down 700 ft lbs of torque on it. However bolts backed out and Inno Alt bracket broke. Destroyed crank. He rebuilt it just recently. If you can get a 3.3-3.8 final drive be ideal. Just short all motor gearing is the problem. Boosted boiz has one of Rogers old backup trans never used i believe was a Saenz with custom 3.3 fd. If your needing to go into 5th gear before the line not the best. 26" tall and 4.0 fd still prob be close...

I'll give a look if they can set up gearing for a turbo application if not then at least to do the final drive. Seems saenz is the only place to go for dog gears.
Heres saenz gearing for anyone else.
