07 Civic Si - Driver side window
Afternoon all. I have a 2007 Civic Si Coupe and the drivers side power window has started showing signs of problems going up.
I have the Factory Service Manual to follow. I have not pulled the door panel off an 8th gen car yet. I've only touched 5th gen's to date.
When the window goes all the way down, when I hit the switch to close the window, the window sometimes goes **** eyed and then rolls down again long before getting closed.
I was wondering if any of you experienced people could give me any insights on what I may be looking for or confirm it's just a lubrication issue.
The motor sounds strong, it seems to be more of an orientation thing and safety feature not forcing the window when it goes awry.
Can anyone offer some possible insight?

Try cleaning the window glass run channel with some rubbing alcohol and then lubing it with a silicone based lubricant.
The car has anti-pinch windows. The power window motor incorporates a pulser which generates pulses during the motor's operation and sends pulses to the power window control unit. Unless the window is almost closed, if the power window control unit detects no pulses from the pulser (e.g., due to obstruction), the power window control unit makes the power window motor stop and reverse. Although, it is mainly to prevent pinching your hands or fingers during the auto-up operation, it may be the cause of your issue when it is going down.

Thank you very much for that insight. That explains alot and I am hoping the cleaning and lubrication stops the jam up activating the pinch "sensor" as it were.
