Default ‘00 Ek with GSR emissions and CEL problems

So I have a 2000 Civic with a b18c1 that I am trying to get to pass emissions. Normally I run a chipped p28 obd1 ecu and it runs perfect, no problems or check engine lights. I need it to get it to pass emissions so I bought a 2000 civic SI ecu cause I read that they would work for passing emissions.

First problem: Knock sensor.
So the first thing I had to do was wire in a knock sensor, no problem. Got it wired and bought a sensor, hooked it up and everything is good. I start driving the car and after about 10 minutes BAM the check engine light comes on for a knock sensor. I reset and try again and this time I drive 1/4 mile and it turns on. I figure it’s a bad sensor so I get another sensor and try it. It drove for about 10 miles, I stopped and filled up on gas and drove about 1/2 mile and BOOM the check engine light comes on for a knock sensor. I pull over and reset it and try again. It instantly comes on but this time my car won’t rev up past 2k rpm. It pulls so much timing to the point the car doesn’t rev up anymore. I don’t know what is causing this? It seems like as soon as the car is warm, it throws the knock sensor off and the car will idle really rough at about 500 rpms. I drove the car very gently with this ecu.
I then tried the bypass with a single transducer and had no luck.

Problem two, Electric Load Detector.
so after the car sitting for 2 weeks I got my hands on a p75 ecu with an OBD2B to OBD2A harness. I know this definitely isn’t good for my car but I’m desperate to get it to pass and these ecus don’t look for a knock sensor which was the only code I was getting at the time. I plug it in and everything is fine, it starts right up and I take it for a drive. I drive 20 miles and BANG my check engine light comes on for a bad cat (have a small hole around my secondary O2 sensor bung) and the Electrical Load Detector. I have never gotten this code before and don’t know what is causing it? I haven’t tried driving it with the p28 ecu to see if it still comes on but I don’t know what to do.
Or could it be something to do with the O2 sensor failing?

If someone could direct me in a way to solve either of these problems that would be much appreciated. I’m getting very discouraged with this car and don’t know what I should do. The only thing I can think of is buying a whole other stock car and swapping that motor in just for emissions.

Sorry to hear, it sounds like a pain. I'm not sure where you're located but most states that do any kind of stringent emissions testing (California especially) will want the engine, emission controls and ECU to match and be the same year or newer than the car. If you're certain everything is wired up correctly, I would be looking for a OBD2b ECU for a GS-R (Acura # 37820-P72-A05). Looks like there are a few on eBay for $100-$200. Not only will this work better with your engine, it will make tacking issues much easier and be relatively "legal" if they decide to check. I would start with that first as it sounds like both of those ECUs are not happy with your swap/chassis.
