1996 Civic dx
My master and slave were kind of leaking. One of the finally went out and I lost all pressure and couldn't go into gear. I got duralast replacements for both. Air bubbles kept coming out. I replaced seals on stock slave and put it back on.. same thing. Bench bled. It feels better, but when car is running the clutch pedal looses pressure kinda and feels squeaky like it's dry or skipping ..
Anyone have any experience with something similar??

 

do you have a half inch of clutch free play ?

When off not much play. When on its spongy. It is all the way adjusted. No threads showing on inside.
Why does the clutch pedal feel completely different when the car is running though, and feels almost normal when car is off?

 

when you press the clutch pedal, is there about a half inch of play before there is any resistance in the pedal ?

 

Yeh. There's play, and I adjusted. Still not good.
someone said if pedal feels different when car is running, it could be pressure plate.?

 

yeah, sounds like it's giving out, eventually it will completely go
