I have a 1999 Honda Accord 2.3 L. And I took apart the throttle body and IACV to clean it with throttle body cleaner. After putting it together the RPM’s (at idle) are high to start with, then started a consistent rise/fall pattern. I tried bleeding the coolant, making the computer relearn the idle. And even went for a test drive. No engine codes but the idle won’t stop doing that. What do I do? Could I have broken the IACV when cleaning? Clogged it more by accident? Broke the gasket on the IACV? Any other recommendations? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

if the iacv gasket is still in good shape then it's likely you damaged the internal seals of the iacv when you sprayed the throttle body cleaner inside

this is especially more likely if you did it while the iacv was hot as throttle body cleaner swells seals, especially when hot
