2008 Honda Element Air Condtioning Issue
I have a 2008 Element LX FWD. About 3 years ago I began having issues with my blower motor on the ac. It would randomly just stop blowing. I had the motor replaced at the dealership and recently the issue has started again but this time accompanied by another problem. Currently the blower will sometimes not engage when turned on. At times, it will just begin blowing on its own. Other times it will begin to blow after hitting a hole or a bump. Most recently the cooling part of the ac has followed suit. Sometimes it engages and other times it does not. It generally works at higher speeds but not always. Recently had a two day period where the ac did not work at all. It is now back to working. Last time I had it checked, nothing could be found. Any suggestions of what could be causing this issue?
I have read some articles about relays going bad but would that explain the off again on again working or the blower motor issue?
Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a connection problem somewhere. If things are going off and on when hitting bumps it's either relay or wiring. The fact it blows on it's own while not being turned on is curious. Finding wiring gremlins is a bitch and very time consuming.

Issue can be due to a failing/failed blower motor power transistor.
1. Locate the blower power transistor under the passenger dash.
2. Unplug the electrical connector to the transistor unit.
3. Attach a jumper wire (short piece of wire) from the Blue/Black wire cavity to the Black wire cavity on the unplugged electrical connector. Leave the connector unplugged.
4. Turn the ignition ON.
Does the motor run?
