1996 Honda Civic, speedometer and RPM’s not working

hey guys, I’m having trouble with my cluster and I’m not sure wats wrong. I picked up a new one but for and auto but my car is a standard so could that be a issue too? It reads my fuel and temp but not those 2. My old cluster does the same thing and I’m not sure wat the issue is. Anyone know wat it could be?

Pull the VSS Variable Speed Sensor and inspect the splines..they may be stripped. Spin it by hand and see if both gears turn.

I just check it and the splines looked fine and I cleaned it it all off. Nothing has changed, I still don’t get my rpm’s and mph.. when I was cleaning off the vss I noticed a little corrosion but I cleaned it off.

Check for fuse 15 in the under-dash fuse box. Is it blown? If yes a quick search of the FAQ page for "Fuse 15 TSB" will help you fix the issue.

Seem like it's most likely related to the cluster you purchased? If you pull a manual cluster at a junkyard might as well pull a VSS from the same car and try it (match it up with the current one first though).

i need electrical schema for honda civic 93
it have problem. the rpm not work. i thing the problem is in the connection or wires because a mecanical worker has fix some problems in the car
please help me
