Default LS Coolant Bleed port thread / pitch

I've tried looking everywhere to find the bleed screw thread and pitch for the bleed screw on the LS head's coolant out line... I'm planning to install a breather / remote fill due to the low mounting on my radiator.. I want to take a threaded barb to screw into it's place to run the top line into my expansion / breather / etc.. That way I got the highest point on the head to continually bleed off air from... I'm still driving the car so I don't want to bleed the coolant and end up needing a BSP or odd metric sized threaded bard... So if anyone's got an LS head with a bleed screw that they could check the thread / pitch off of I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Thanks,

Josh.

If I had it in my car I'd check for you but they stopped putting those in starting in '96. Just go to a local hardware store, grab a few bolts, keeping not of their size and pitch, and try them until one fits.

Yes, that's a thought but I would of like to maintain my coolant system as is until I'm ready to replace the coolant. It's a pain the way my coolant cap is set up. Takes 4-5 warm ups and complete cool downs with a no spill funnel to get all the air out..

Since all hardware stores carry 1/8 npt hose barbs... I'll probably just pull the coolant neck off the head and drill and tap it to 1/8 npt when I'm ready to do all my maintenance / part replacements.

Thanks for the reply! Forgot they stopped making the bleed line on anything after 95!

I gotcha. Yea when I flush/replace mine, I just attach and fill up the no spill funnel and go inside for about an hour while it idles haha. One other thing you could do to avoid tapping new threads is order the bleeder bolt off of oemacuraparts.com or another honda parts website and then take it to a hardware store and find out which nut fits on it.
